Fast & Simple · Open source · Local only
FS PDF Compressor is a free, open-source, offline PDF compressor for macOS Apple Silicon, Windows, and Linux. FS means Fast & Simple: drop in a PDF and get a smaller one—without uploads, accounts, or complicated settings. Compress PDFs without uploading them, with a signed and notarized Mac app, Windows installer, Snap Store install, or self-contained Linux AppImage.
Your PDFs never leave your computer. There is no account, cloud service, analytics, or telemetry.
Drag one PDF, several PDFs, or a folder into the app—or use the optional Drop Zone without reopening it. Files are replaced only when the result is actually smaller.
Balanced by default. Preserve quality or choose maximum compression from one discrete menu.
Available now · Version 1.0.13
This small maintenance release reduces memory used while FS PDF Compressor is open and waiting for files. Compression, privacy, and the three quality profiles work exactly as before.
The essentials
A small app should not require a long explanation. These are the facts that matter before downloading FS PDF Compressor.
First launch
The macOS app is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple. On Linux, install from Snap Store or use the self-contained AppImage. On Windows, verify the published checksum for the unsigned per-user installer.
